What to Wear
Hawkesbury Race Club encourages all our guests to embrace the rich heritage and excitement of horse racing.

The following Dress Standards are listed for your information and Hawkesbury Race Club reserves the right to request any patron to adhere to our Standards while attending any raceday or event at the Club.
General Admission areas –
(Including General Admission and Front Lawn Precinct)

Clean, neat and tidy appearance including enclosed footwear befitting of a raceday is recommended.

Dress code applies for children aged 14 years and over.
Enclosed areas –
(Including Members Areas, Owners Bar, and Function Rooms)

Patrons attending racedays in enclosed areas are expected to wear smart-casual attire as a minimum, which could include but is not limited to;
Gentleman:
Collared shirt, tailored trousers, chinos, moleskins or dress jeans.
Smart and appropriate footwear.
Ties, jackets and blazers are optional.
Ladies:
Neat, smart-casual or formal clothing including dresses, dress skirts, tailored trousers, chinos, moleskins or dress jeans.
Millinery is encouraged but not compulsory.
Suitable and appropriate footwear. -
NOT acceptable attire includes:
Tracksuits, board shorts, and football/sports/running shorts.
Torn or ripped clothing.
Thongs, sandals, “crocs”, dilapidated footwear, gumboots, uggboots or slippers.​

Please note, any fancy dress that is deemed provocative, offensive or inappropriate may result in the patron/s being asked to leave the venue.
Owners' Information
Owners plus one guest are given complimentary access to a range of viewing areas and facilities on course. Owners involved with winning horses on the day are invited to celebrate with us in the Winners Bar.

Ticket collection is in the Australian Thoroughbred Breeders Club room which is located to the left of the turnstiles at the front gate.
No need to pre-register, you will receive your tickets at the gate!
There will be an on-course owners lounge with complimentary refreshments for you to enjoy while cheering on your horse!

Clarendon Train Station is located at our front gate and is only a short 350m walk to the turnstiles.

There is ample free on-course parking.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?Hawkesbury Race Club does not allow food or beverages to be brought into the Racecourse. HRC is a licensed venue and operates food and beverage outlets on course. The venue reserves the right to check all bags upon entry & exit. Complimentary water stations are located on-course. Food required for dietary or health purposes is allowed in sealed containers for individual consumption with written consent from a health professional.

Is there food and drink available to purchase on course?Yes, we have various food outlets available on course including the Snack Bar, Dining Room Brasserie and on some days Food Trucks.

How do I get tickets to the races? Do I need to pre-book?Tickets are available for purchase online or at the gate on the day. Pre-booking is recommended but not a requirement. Pre-booking any hospitality package is a must.

How do I get there? Is there parking available?Free parking is available on course. The Racecourse is a short 5-minute walk from Clarendon Train Station.

What entertainment will there be?The entertainment varies for each race meeting. To view the entertainment for a particular race meeting, please view the event.

Can children come to the races?Yes! Under 18-year-olds receive free entry. Please note they must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I pay with cash at Hawkesbury Race Club? Can I get cash out?HRC operates some outlets as CARD ONLY payments, however our Public Bar and food outlets allow cash payments. We do have an onsite ATM available for use.

Can I smoke on course?Smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking area located behind the Betting Ring.

If I lose something on a race day, how can I find it?All lost property is handed into the HRC Office, please call 02 4577 2263 for any lost property enquiries.
