The Chairman Dr Phil Chen, on behalf of the Hawkesbury Race Club and the Board announce the departure of Ken Rutherford from his position as CEO of the Hawkesbury Race Club.
After holding the position of CEO of the Hawkesbury Race Club since February 2020, Ken Rutherford has decided to return to New Zealand for family reasons. Hawkesbury Race Club and the Board would like to acknowledge Ken Rutherford for his service and contribution.
Lea Porteous Hawkesbury Race Club’s Business Manager will assume the role of Interim CEO in the immediate future.
Hawkesbury Race Club is looking forward to the easing of restrictions during the next few weeks and welcoming patrons back on course Thursday 21st of October.
The highlight of the rest of the Hawkesbury racing calendar will of course be the ever popular Ladies Day on Thursday 4th November. It is the go-to event of the Spring racing season. There will be plenty happening on and off the track with live entertainment and fashions on the field.
Hawkesbury Race Club will be operating in a fully COVID safe manner in line with government restrictions and requirements. We're looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up and back at the races soon.
